SALES INTERN for SPIRIT 105.3
CRISTA Broadcasting,
a non-denominational Christian organization,
Owners of KCMS-FM and KCIS-AM in Seattle,
and KWPZ-FM in Bellingham
Wanted: A student studying Sales or marketing or a related major with a desire to learn more about radio and radio sales. They are done in conjunction with High School or University course credit and are volunteer unpaid positions. One intern 20-25 hours a week per semester.
Qualifications: Flexible, energetic, someone with good interpersonal skills who can take initiative, excellent written and verbal communication skills and good organizational skills.
Skills: Knowledge of Excel and Word, excellent research and internet skills.
Tasks: Sales Meeting Attendance, Sales Proposals, Promotion Recaps, Broadcast terms and lingo, How to enter an advertising order, Writing commercials, Brainstorming ideas for advertiser promotions, Client interfacing, Non-profit service,Forms and systems other tasks and projects as assigned.

Radio Promotions Intern
Seattle News Radio
POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 2 each quarter- Winter, Spring, Summer & Fall. Minimum of 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week. Unpaid. Must receive college credits, juniors/seniors preferred.
DESCRIPTION: Intern to the Promotions Department for STAR 101.5, 570 KVI and KOMO 1000 News Radio Stations. Assist in the daily activities of the promotion department. Areas learned include: marketing of radio stations and its clients/listeners, promotion creation, event coordination, press and public relations, and an introduction to all aspects of radio broadcasting.
QUALIFICATIONS: Promotions/marketing career interests. Responsible, positive attitude, directed, dependable, self- starter, strong communication & writing skills. Must be enrolled in college and receive college credits toward graduation for hours worked. Requirements: Minimum of 20 hours per week, M-F, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Must also be approved by our insurance company to drive the station vehicles.
