Membership
Membership
Dues are required for a student to be registered as a member of the national PRSSA organization. Students are welcome to come to meetings and be involved with PRSSA without paying dues. However, it is highly recommended. In order to claim membership, such as putting PRSSA on your resume, it is crucial to be an actual, paid member. This ensures that members will be confirmed as registered members if future professional employers inquire. Other benefits to being a paid member include the ability to access password-only pages on the national PRSSA website, such as the Job Search page, which allows members to search jobs across the country, post their resumes, and offers tips for cover letters, interviews, and other helpful job-hunting techniques.
Dues
Dues can be turned into the treasurer at the beginning of each semester. They must be turned in prior to November 1 for fall semester or March 1 for spring semester. Dues are $50 for national dues plus $10 for chapter dues. Dues must be turned in before November 1st or March 1st. Checks or cash can ONLY be turned into the treasurer; he or she will need to gather other information in order for the student to be registered as a member. Checks can be made out to WSU PRSSA.
