Murrow School Honors Crystal Hamilton

Crystal Hamilton - 2004

The Murrow School of Communication lost an employee in the tragic shootings that took place in Moscow, Idaho, Saturday, May 19, 2007.  We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of Crystal Hamilton, and our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends, a well as to the family and friends of the other victims.

More Information

Crystal began work in the Director's Office on May 5, 2007, assisting with financial records processing. While Crystal had only worked with us a short time, she already had made a strong impression as a dedicated, cheerful and reliable employee, and as a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor.  We wish we somehow could have protected her from this.  We will miss her greatly.

The family is requesting donations in Crystals memory be sent to the Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse.

One of her close friends, who also is a Murrow staff member, has taken in the many pets that Crystal left behind.  To assist with covering their expenses, an account has been set up at the Washington State Employees Credit Union in her memory.  The animals include freshwater and saltwater fish, a cat and several birds.
