Online Event Access

Thank you for your interest in attending the Virtual Journalism Summit, a live event held April 6 in the CUB Auditorium on the campus of Washington State University. Presentations will begin at 10 a.m. PST and run continuously through 6:30 p.m. on April 6.

LIVE VIDEO ACCESS

For those who are unable to join us in person, there will be live streaming video of each presentation.
Please visit this link http://experience.wsu.edu during event times for live event video.

SECOND LIFE ACCESS

For online users that wish to ask questions at any of the sessions, there will also be limited interactive access within Second Life on WSU's official island. Second Life users may use the following SLurl link to directly "teleport" to WSU Island:

http://slurl.com/secondlife/WSU

Please be aware that access to WSU Island will be restricted to members of the Murrow CoC (College of Communication) group within Second Life on the day of the event. If you are not a member of this group, you will not be able to teleport to WSU Island on April 6. The deadline for joining the Murrow CoC group in Second Life was Sunday, April 5. At this time, no more additions are being made. Please see the video stream at http://experience.wsu.edu to view the event remotely.

There will not be a video and/or audio stream of the live event within Second Life. Instead, Second Life participants are encouraged to use the above live video access link to see and hear the live presentations outside of the Second Life client. However, in some cases, presenters will be in-world to interact with the audience on WSU Island before or after their presentations.

In addition, some presentations will include Q&A opportunities where questions will be taken from both the real-world audience and the in-world audience, when applicable. Moderator Lindquist Linden will be available to field online questions via text chat. Please note that presenters and the “real world” audience will not always have access to voice chat so only text chat questions will be considered for the Q&A sessions.

We appreciate your patience as WSU conducts its first live event within Second Life. If you are unable to access this feature, we encourage all online attendees to check out the video stream.
